Toxoplasma gondii → Causes toxoplasmosis, forming cysts in the brain, muscles, and eyes.
Entamoeba histolytica → Can cause amebic liver abscesses, leading to cyst-like formations in the liver and intestines.
4. Flukes (Trematodes)
Clonorchis sinensis & Opisthorchis spp. (Liver Flukes) → Can cause cystic changes in the bile ducts and liver.
Paragonimus westermani (Lung Fluke) → Forms cystic cavities in the lungs, sometimes misdiagnosed as tuberculosis or lung tumors.
5. Borrelia (Bacteria Related to Lyme Disease)
Borrelia burgdorferi (Lyme Disease Bacteria) → Can form cystic structures in tissues, protecting itself from the immune system and antibiotics.
