H. Pylori Pro's & Con's

Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a type of bacteria that infects the stomach lining and is associated with several gastrointestinal conditions like ulcers, gastrits, biliary tract or gastric cancer and even MALT lymphoma.

In the United States, approximately 20% of adolescents are infected with the bacteria and around 36% of the overall population. Humans have been living with H. pylori for more than 60,000 years. The majority of people maintain a perfectly symbiotic, harmonious relationship with it, without developing any symptoms or illnesses from it. Research has actually shown that the bacteria may actually have many beneficial effects on the human body.

Studies have shown that H Pylori may help fight...

So what's the difference between folks who benefit from H. Pylori and those who are harmed by it?  Your toxic burden!

If you have a toxic terrain, you are more vulnerable to H. Pylori's negative outcomes. This is due to pleomorphism, or the bacteria's ability to alter its makeup in response to environmental conditions,  causing irregular forms of the same species of bacteria.  In toxic conditions, H.Pylori can pleomorph to create poisons in the body and cause inflammation.

Additionally, the human body can only provide so much space and so many resources, which H. pylori is forced to share with other microbes competing for the same space. It’s survival of the fittest, and H. pylori may actually kill off disease-causing pathogens in our bodies if they get in the way.

If you are experiencing harmful effects of H. Pylori, let's chat to see how detox, diet and lifestyle changes can help you heal!
