Mistletoe used in cancer treatments

Did you know in other countries mistletoe is a prescription drug, primarily used for cancer? In Europe, mistletoe extracts are among the most prescribed medications for patients with cancer, with it being the most commonly used cancer drug in Germany. In the Celtic language, the word mistletoe means “all heal".

Mistletoe extracts prevent cancer cell growth and stimulate the immune system to fight cancer. Mistletoe promotes the activation of the P53 gene which causes cancer cell growth to stop and even die.

Mistletoe can help ease the harmful consequences of and improve efficacy of conventional chemotherapy drugs for cancer. It also improves the quality of life and also increases the life expectancy of cancer patients who choose traditional cancer treatments.

Suzanne Somers made this cancer treatment popular in the U.S. when she used it to treat her breast cancer in 2001.

Mistletoe contains a wide variety of immune-stimulating phytonutrients. It can also help seizures, headaches, arthritis symptoms, high blood pressure and gastrointestinal complaints.

Mistletoe can be poisonous if taken improperly so be sure to work closely with your medical practitioner. If you're pursuing cancer treatments, whether through holistic or conventional methods, mistletoe may be a great addition to your protocol.
